What a weekend! Practically everyone was there to wish Christine a Happy Birthday. It was a great event, later celebrated by the planting of a tree. Christine managed to bring together nearly the entire family from both sides of the channel who were joined by many dear friends from the Loire, Brittany, the Paris region and the South. You can order the DVD version of the celebrations but here are a few photographs of the evening in case your budget is tight. Eighty-seven people were there for champagne, wonderful food, wine, songs, champagne (alright that's enough drink, ed) speeches and dancing. The party was in a lovely location nearby and forty stayed on for lunch the next day.
Christine was overwhelmed by the generosity of all who came and was showered with presents including bracelets, bags, bowls, scarves, plates, a painting week next summer, a trip to Andalusia and of course, the tree.
